Kelly Mill

Cicely and Tilia thoroughly enjoy the great outdoors, spending a good portion of each day getting filthy in the garden and fields. They are currently undertaking a fundraising challenge in aid of Unicef UK. You can find out about 'Cicely & Tilia's 10 Tor Challenge' here.

Laura has always worked in hospitality and retail. She has been a landlady in successful public houses, and more recently a retail development manager for several large national operations. A self-confessed obsessive workaholic, Laura found her agenda change dramatically when Cicely and Tilia arrived, resulting in a deep desire to stay at home with them.

Matt has been rooted outdoors all of his life, and grew up on a small Cornish farm on Bodmin Moor. He trained as a gardener with the National Trust, and spent most of his career working for them, becoming a Head Gardener and then Garden Manager at Sissinghurst Castle. He now splits his time between making a garden at Kelly Mill and his garden design business, Matt Jackson Gardens.

Kelly Mill is our home, and a place of blissful peace and tranquillity. We are Laura, Matt and the girls, Cicely 4.5 and Tilia 2.5.

It has long been our dream to find a place where we can make a beautiful garden, enclosed within a patch of land that is a haven to all life. In November of 2015 we found Kelly Mill, instantly fell in love, and arrived on the 4th January 2016.

We have very strong beliefs about life, relationships and the part we play in caring for our surroundings.  We also have a highly developed sense of the essence of our surroundings, and what makes and keeps that place special. We try to operate with sustainability and conservation in our hearts and minds wherever possible.
